About Vera

I left my corporate job in 2023 with zero clients. The decision was scary, but once I gave my notice I felt excited, optimistic, and ready to take on the world.

On the first day of my new “job”, I felt elated. Nobody was telling me what to do, when to do it, what to write about, when to eat lunch - it was glorious. The day stretched out ahead of me like a beautiful expanse of white sand beach in the tropics.

The hours ticked by and slowly reality dawned on me: I had no training on how to run a business. No reference point. No policy manual. No guidebook. Nobody to report to. And most alarming, no clients.

I literally thought that I would ‘hang out my shingle’, post an announcement on LinkedIn and have a line up of clients eagerly waiting to sign up with me.

I was so naive!

After that first day there were many more days when I felt alone - and a tad bit crazy - talking to my dog, Ellie, about my ideas.

I’ve always been inherently disciplined, self-motivated, and able to set and reach goals, but I quickly realized that I needed help to develop new skills from someone who had walked this path before me. Someone who could help me declutter my mind, prioritize goals, create processes, hold me accountable, and most importantly, build the kind of self-confidence that’s required when you strike out on a new path.

Something I wasn’t expecting as an entrepreneur is the extremely deep and intense inner work that’s required to step into a new version of yourself.

This is a continuous process of looking at yourself in the mirror, being brutally honest with yourself, facing your shadows and loving yourself despite all the dark parts, digging deep into your strength reserves, persevering through the challenges, and then recommitting to the journey each and every day.

It makes me so grateful for my earlier life challenges, including a divorce and then getting fired, which left me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, like a failure, and completely unsure of what to do next. But, it’s what led me to hiring a coach and to becoming a coach myself. I did the work to get unstuck, stop feeling like a failure, and find my life’s purpose.

My journey has led me to today, helping women solopreneurs create the best chapter of their business from a place of clarity, worthiness and confidence.
